Introduction

Whether you’re a retailer, designer, manufacturer, platform, VFX studio, or hobbyist, creating your own Shimmer View takes 3 basic steps:

  1. Scan your material by taking photos with a handheld camera
  2. Upload your photos to our web app for processing
  3. Publish or download your Shimmer View files

How to Scan

To scan your material, take a handful of photos of the material from a series of different angles, using a camera with a flash.

How to Process a Scan

After uploading your photos, we process them and show you the resulting ShimmerView. You can adjust the appearance to your liking with our built-in editor.

How to Publish or Download

Once you’re happy with the result, you can purchase the Shimmer View and embed it in your retail site, just like embedding a YouTube video. Or, you can download the textures for your tiling or CAD workflows.
